In 2022, he shot Amanda for director Carolina Cavalli. After showing at the Venice 79th International Film Festival and the 47th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the film was released in the UK by Curzon and in the US by Oscilloscope, to critical acclaim. The duo just wrapped their next feature, The Kidnapping of Arabella, starring Benedetta Porcaroli and Chris Pine.

In the UK, he just shot prison thriller Wasteman starring David Jonsson and Tom Blyth.

Other credits include Troppo Azzurro, which premiered at Rome International Film Festival 2023 and opened theatrically in Italy in May 2024, and drama portions of BAFTA-winning documentary Gun No. 6.

Born in Rome, he was obsessed with cameras and making his own short films by the time he was 10. After wanting to be a photojournalist for a few years, he discovered cinematography and has been working in the industry for over ten years.

A prolific cinematography lecturer in his spare time, Lorenzo has taught at UCA Farnham, Arts University Bournemouth, Met Film School, Ravensbourne, Edge Hill, University of Brighton, UWE Bristol and London Metropolitan University.
